Our Staycation

For Kahele’s birthday I wanted to plan a nice weekend where we could all have some fun. His birthday in on March 10th, but hotel rooms were cheaper, so we celebrated a little early. It’s so weird that it takes a staycation for me to realize that I literally live in the most beautiful place, I take for granted the beauty that surrounds me every day. I guess it’s like that for just about anyone. Where you live is where you work and so you’re so focused on routine that you forget to appreciate the good things. It was such a nice weekend and I wish that we were in a financial place where we could do it more often, but maybe we wouldn’t have taken the time to really enjoy it if we were.
