Beach day at Kokololio

Both of my best friends were on the island at the same time, so I had to plan a fun beach day. Yesterday, we decided to head towards Laie because my sister lives there, and I was really missing my nieces. Even though it’s around a 45 minute drive, the windward side is one of the most beautiful scenic driving experiences and I never get sick of it. The weather was perfect, except for a few minutes of heavy rain, but we didn’t let that ruin our day. We left just before sunset, and on our drive home, I had Kahele pull over so I could capture the beautiful sky. It was a bit depressing that I had to work the next morning since we went on a Thursday afternoon, but it was well worth the exhaustion I felt today.
