NOSTALGIA IS MY ESCAPISM

I don’t know if it’s my age, but lately I’ve really been drawn to 80’s and 90’s music, movies and even aesthetics. Watching these tv shows and movies have had a positive impact on me, someone who grew up in that era. These classics act as a comforting portal to a simpler, more carefree time, and provide me with the much-needed escape from the craziness of today’s world. From the beginning credits of my childhood favorites, I’m transported back to my childhood and teenage years, a time when life felt more secure, and I was shielded by the comfort and protection of family and loved ones. The familiar sounds and catchphrases evoke joy and reassurance, offering a cherished pause from modern day stress and uncertainty.
