Eagle Cafe Pier 39

On the morning of our Alcatraz tour, we left the hotel early because we were told that the Bay to Breakers 12k run was taking place and that many roads would be closed down and we’d have to navigate around the trail to get to the Pier. We planned to have breakfast at the Pier just to be safe. The only restaurant open when we got there was the Eagle Cafe. This place has so many yummy choices that it took my sister and me a long time to make our meal choices. We shared a short stack of banana pancakes, they were probably the best pancakes I’ve ever had, they were so fluffy with that little crispy outside. I loved the brown sugar and walnut crumble on top.  For our entrees, I had the corned beef hash with eggs and my sister had the Florentine Benedict. Its such a cute and cozy little cafe.  I hope to be able to get back there again one day.
