My San Francisco Trip

Our road trip from LA to SF began as we exited the plane at LAX and headed straight to pick up our rentall car. Before embarking on the long drive up the I-5, we made a few quintessential LA stops. First, we visited Hollywood and made a stop at Kat Von D’s famed LA ink. Next we headed to LACMA to see the iconic Urban Lights. Although I would have loved to see it illuminated at night, our early morning visit was still enchanting. Once on the main road, we cranked the volume to Beyonce’s album, gearing up for her concert.

Upon arriving in SF, our firs stop was the Palace of Fine Arts. Standing under the rotunda, we marveled at its detail and beauty. Dinner that night was at my favorite restaurant, The Stinking Rose, where we indulged in a feast of Dungeness crab, lamb and plenty of garlic. The combination of stunning sights and delicious food make our first day in California a memorable one.
